“For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.” 1 Samuel 15:23
The above statement was made by Prophet Samuel to King Saul when he disobeyed the voice of the Lord. This resulted in the Lord rejecting King Saul from his position and the anointing of David as the next King of
We are chosen by God to fulfill His purpose and plans. Ezekiel was chosen to be sent to the rebellious nation
We are to preach repentance to every nation we are sent, rebellious or not, as Apostle Peter says in Acts 2:38, “Repent, and let everyone of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” Ezekiel 2:6 says, “And you son of man, do not be afraid of them nor be afraid of their words… because He has made you “Like adamant stone, harder than flint, I have made your forehead; do not be afraid of them, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they are a rebellious house” (Ezekiel 3:9).
I have seen believers and men of God taking actions without taking advice from the Lord. When things go wrong, they blame God for it, whereas remember, God has nothing to do with the wrong actions we make. Isaiah 30:1 says, “Woe to the rebellious children,” says the Lord, “Who take counsel, but not of Me, and who devise plans, but not of My Spirit, that they may add sin to sin…”
The Word says rebellion and stubbornness are equal to the sin of witchcraft and idolatry. So let us not rebel or be stubborn to the word of the Lord.
Be Blessed!
