Showers of Blessing

“but to none of them was Elijah sent except to Zarephath, in the region of Sidon, to a woman who was a widow.” Luke 4:26

Jesus mentioned about this widow of Zarephath at the synagogue. This widow who fed Prophet Elijah for almost two years is preached world wide by a minute act of hospitality shown to Prophet Elijah. She never knew anything about the person who asked her for water and later on for a cake. The request for water itself was too much on her as we read that the brook Cherith dried up in due course of time.

The widow may well have refused Prophet Elijah but God had touched the widow’s heart where she could not but offer the man of God what he requested for. She must have considered giving a try to the words of Prophet Elijah in 1Kings 17:14 “For thus says the Lord God of Israel: ‘The bin of flour shall not be used up, nor shall the jar of oil run dry, until the day the Lord sends rain on the earth.’” By feeding His Prophet with the last portion of her food, God blessed the flour and the oil whereby she never had to worry about food for almost two years but ended up being a blessing for her household.

In verse 15 we see that the widow and Prophet Elijah and her household ate until the end of the famine. Being a widow, her relatives must have turned their backs on her. It must have been a terrible situation where she had to find food to keep her son and herself alive during the famine. See in your mind's eye a situation where you are going to protect your relatives who never wanted to extend a helping hand or rather did not wish to refer you as part of their family.

Beloved, God has a blueprint for you even if there is no one to help you or if the whole world is under recession. You will be surrounded by discouraging remarks to let you down but be strong He has greater plans for you which is hidden from them. Believer, it is abundance for you in the middle of recession and believe me recession is for unbelievers. As I have mentioned before, God’s children will live in abundance. Seeing your prosperity in negative circumstances is going to be an eye opener for non believers. Keep confessing your faith and live a successful life.

Be Blessed!

Showers of Blessing

Genesis 17:1 “I am the almighty God, walk before Me and be blameless.”

God wanted Abraham to walk before Him and be blameless. We ought to "be an example to believers (and unbelievers) in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith and in purity." 1 Timothy 4:12. “Let us keep ourselves pure” 1 Timothy 5:22 “so that the name of God and His doctrines may not be blasphemed” 1Timothy 6.

We see great men of God in deep mess when they wander away from the vision which the Lord gave them at the commencement of their ministry. I have had several experiences while working with quite a few ministries. They reach a point where they are beyond correction. God starts blessing the ministry as you move forward in the perfect will of God. Men of God ought to be blameless as people look on to them as God’s chosen ones.

Abraham set an example in Genesis 14:21 when he replied the King of Sodom who requested to take the goods from the war “I have raised my hand to the Lord, God Most High, the Possessor of heaven and earth, that I will take nothing, from a thread to a sandal strap, and that I will not take anything that is yours, lest you should say, ‘I have made Abram rich.” I am sure Abraham must have remembered that the Lord Himself was his great reward.

Prophet Elisha refused to take any gift from Naaman the Syrian but said, “As the Lord lives, before whom I stand, I will receive nothing.” 2 Kings 5:15-16

“Therefore, let us look forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless.” 2 Peter 3:14

Be Blessed!

Showers of Blessing

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8-9.

God spoke to Abraham to get out of his country and from his family and from his father’s house to a land that God will show him. Abraham obeyed God every time God spoke to him and we see how he prospered. God wanted to bless Abraham so He wanted him to come out of his present condition. God has a master plan for each one of us just as he had for Abraham. Obey His plans, although at times it might sound strange but His ways are perfect. You will be blessed and your blessings will overflow when you go according to His plans. People who reside in the land to which you are taken will have supernatural favor on you. They will come out of the way to help you. He has set “ravens” to help you all the time.

Joseph was sold to the Ishmaelites and was taken to Egypt because his brothers hated him for the dream. As we read in Genesis 39:2 “The Lord was with Joseph, and he was a successful man” and in verse 3 it says “And his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord made all he did to prosper in his hand.”

Let us see what Joseph had to say when he met his brothers in Egypt in Genesis 45:5. “But now, do not therefore be grieved or angry with yourselves because you sold me here; for God sent me before you to preserve life. Genesis 45:8 “So now it was not you who sent me here, but God, and He has made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.”

So when the Lord takes you to a strange land believe that He has done everything for you as He did for Abraham and Joseph for He has better plans for you.

Previously, we were in a land where we were comfortably settled as per worldly standards but God wanted us to move into a new place. We obeyed God blindly and took a step of faith without any hesitation. Whenever we had to move we did it joyfully relying on His Word and were promoted to greater heights. Every change was for a purpose. This is our experience.

Walk in faith and Be Blessed!

Showers of Blessing

Mark 5 deals with Jesus Christ healing three different people. Verses 1-20 deals with the healing of a man who was tormented by an unclean spirit. He was not able to be bound in shackles and chains. As soon as Jesus came out of the boat He healed him. We see how the unclean spirit talked to Jesus and left the man healed.

Verse 25 onwards we read about a woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years. News reached the woman that Jesus was in town and she realised that this was her last resort to get healed as she had spent all that she had for nothing.

One touch of faith on Jesus' clothes and she was completely healed. Is there anyone who needs a healing today? The supernatural doctor is just beside you. All you need to do is to touch Him in faith. See how Jesus felt power go out of Him by the woman’s touch and He says “Your faith has made you well.” Believers, I have a word for you; supernatural days of healing are coming back very soon as we see in the book of Acts.

Jairus was in urgent need of healing for his dying twelve year old daughter. His daughter died, but Jesus said to Jairus, “Do not be afraid; only believe.” Jesus took the inner circle of disciples who had the positive faith with Him and brought the dead girl back to life.

All sicknesses and problems are brought into people’s life by the devil. As we read in John 10:10 “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

Many people including believers believe that sicknesses and problems come into their lives from God. This verse clearly says that it is the devil himself who comes into lives to steal and destroy their health, finances and family life. On the contrary, God wants us to have abundant life on the earth along with supernatural health, finances and a good family.

Be blessed!

Showers of Blessing

We read in the Holy Bible about the Ark of the Covenant of the Lord. Wherever the Ark came there was blessing for God’s people and chaos for the enemy. In 1 Samuel 4:5 we see that the Ark of the Lord came into the camp and all Israel shouted so loudly that the earth shook.

The Philistines were afraid and said “God has come into the camp.” They knew that the God of Israel had performed great miracles, signs and wonders while bringing out the Israelites from Egypt and the same God has come into the camp. So the Philistines knew that God himself had come down to help the Israelites.

In 1 Samuel 5 we read what happened to Dagon, the Philistine God. First, it fell on its face to the earth before the ark of the Lord. On the second day Dagon fell on its face to the ground before the ark of the Lord and the head and both the palms of hands were broken off on the threshold. So they returned the Ark of the Lord to Israel.

This same Ark of the Lord was hidden in the house of Obed-Edom, a Levite and a bodyguard of David (2 Samuel 6:11). See how the Ark of the Lord brought fame and blessing to Obed-Edom and all his family, he being an ordinary bodyguard. I believe God must have elevated this man which in turn was informed to King David. David loved the Lord and he made arrangements that the Ark be brought to the City of David. In 2 Samuel 6:14 David danced before the Lord with all his might imagining the blessings which are going to come upon him. His happiness is mentioned in the verses that follow.

Beloved, know that when you were baptized into Christ, you have put on Christ Galatians 3:27. So when you are wearing Christ all Dagon’s will fall before you and flee from you. Do not be surprised when the world acts against you and deprive you of your privileges. But I would say, rejoice for you are the chosen vessel of the Living God. Know your authority. Born again believer, you are the Ark of the Living God because you are wearing Jesus Christ. Believe! no enemy can come near you.

Be blessed!

Showers of Blessing

Our God is a God who is only concerned about the well being of His people in the entire world. We read in Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope."

I have often heard believers blaming God when they pass through difficult times in their lives. Our God does not bring calamity on us. He is not in a joint venture with the evil one. He is a God who surely wants to bless us.

See what Jonah says about the Lord in Jonah 4:2 "For I know that You are a gracious and merciful God, slow to anger and abundant in loving kindness, One who relents from doing harm." Jonah knew God better than anyone as a compassionate and a loving God who would not destroy the people of Nineveh even though they were wicked.
King David in Psalm 86:5 says of the Lord as, "For You, O Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, And abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You." God always disciplines us through His word.

We read that "The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, Slow to anger and great in mercy, The Lord is good to all, And His tender mercies are over all His works." in Psalm 145:8&9.

The Scriptures reveal it to us to "taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him." Psalm 34:8. As always I do, let me "magnify the Lord Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His Servant." Psalm 35:27.

I firmly believe He is the only One who can bring blessings into our lives. I cannot be negligent now for He has chosen me to stand before Him, to serve Him and to minister to Him and burn incense.

Be Blessed.

Showers of Blessing

Jesus said in John 15:7 "If you abide in Me and My Words abide in you, you will ask what you desire and it shall be done for you." Hallelujah! What a wonderful promise from the Lord Almighty!

God's Word is already given to us and as we read in Joshua 1:8 "This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success."

God's Word is so near to us to have a prosperous life in this world. He has given us the Word and it is for us to meditate in it to have success in all our endeavors. He has shown us the way to lead a successful life in this world through His Word. God's Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path Psalm 119:105; and every Word of God is pure Proverbs 30:5.

Everything else in this world will pass away but God's Word will stand forever Isaiah 40:8. Let us meditate on God's Word every time we can as we read in Psalm 1:2 "Blessed is the man who delights in the law of the Lord who meditates in it day and night.

Let us have a successful and prosperous life by meditating in the Word. Have a blessed day!

Showers of Blessing

Every born again believer who believes that he is a vital part in the Lord's Kingdom is under the super natural provisions of the Lord Almighty. Effective, the day you are born again your graph of success is moving upwards. Before you knew the Lord, you work hard and have a thick wallet but before the end of the month it is almost empty. The money is gone.

Once you are in the Kingdom it is just the reverse. You work, earn money for your family, all your needs are met and you have a surplus which you store in a bank or invest in assets. It is well said in the Scriptures that this policy is applicable to the children of God.

In Ruth 2:14 we read,"and she ate and was satisfied and kept some back." Naomi had never experienced such a phenomenon before. She has gleaned fields as Ruth did but had nothing left over which made her decide to move over to Moab when the famine struck Bethlehem.

God does not put to shame His people by making them go through poor conditions of life. He does not gain anything by making you poor. In fact, poverty is a curse. God restores whatever you have lost once you accept Him as Savior and Lord. We read in Joel 2:26 "You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied and praise the name of the Lord your God." Verse 27 says "My people shall never be put to shame."

He is a God who simply wants to bless you. In Mark 6 we read from verse 30 - 44 about Jesus feeding the five thousand. Jesus performed a miracle to feed the five thousand plus people. We read in verse 42 "So they all ate and were filled. Verse 43: "And they took up twelve baskets full of fragments and of the fish." This is the exact principle which is applicable for each of us who belong to the Lord's Kingdom. The remaining twelve baskets were for the twelve disciples who acted in disbelief as we read in verse 37.

If you believe that you are in the Kingdom of God and if you find hard to meet both ends you really need to open your eyes as God opened the eyes of the lost son in Luke 15:17 "But when he came to himself, he said, 'How many of my father's hired servants have bread enough and to spare.....

Beloved, follow the principles of God's Kingdom and be blessed.

Showers of Blessing

Hallelujah! Praise Jesus! In 1Chronicles 4:9 & 10 we read about Jabez. Jabez was an honorable man than his brothers. But his mother called him a "pain" because she bore him in pain.

Jabez prayed to the Lord for 1. a blessing, 2. enlargement of his territory, 3. the hand of the Lord be with him and 4. to keep him from evil so that he would not cause pain. And the Lord answered his prayer.

Beloved, are you in need of a blessing? The Lord is ready to bless you as He blessed Abram in Genesis 12:2. We read in Galatians 3:29 "And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. He is ready to enlarge the place of your tent ref: Isaiah 54:2. The Lord's hand is with you always ref: Isaiah 41:10 & 13 & 42:6.

When the Lord enlarges your territory it can be the ends of the earth if you
believe. And the Word says, "The scepter of wickedness shall not rest on the land allotted to the righteous."

God bless you abundantly!

Showers of Blessing

A miracle by tomorrow morning! Next year, this time your life will be totally changed.
Joel 2:21 "Fear not, O land; Be glad and rejoice, For the Lord has done marvelous things!"
Joel 2:25 "So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten. The crawling locust, the consuming locust and the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you."
The Good Samaritan is coming to give you hope, future and prosperity. As you walk into the stranger's land this Samaritan is coming with you. You will not be a burden for others but you shall be a blessing. Tonight, God is going to heal your wounds and take over your life.
Be blessed.

Showers of Blessing

God is doing a new thing in your life today !! That will be beyond your comprehension.

Call unto Jesus and He will show you great and mighty things you do not know. Re: Jeremiah 33:3
He will definitely talk to you today. One word from God and that will change your entire situation. He will subdue all the problems you are facing today.

Your faith will bring changes into your life and there is a reward for your belief.

Deuteronomy 28:1-14

1 If you fully obey the LORD your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations on earth.
2 All these blessings will come upon you and accompany you if you obey the LORD your God:

3 You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country.

4 The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock—the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks.

5 Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed.

6 You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.

7 The LORD will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven.

8 The LORD will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The LORD your God will bless you in the land he is giving you.

9 The LORD will establish you as his holy people, as he promised you on oath, if you keep the commands of the LORD your God and walk in his ways.
10 Then all the peoples on earth will see that you are called by the name of the LORD, and they will fear you.
11 The LORD will grant you abundant prosperity in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your ground—in the land he swore to your forefathers to give you.
12 The LORD will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none.
13 The LORD will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the LORD your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom.
14 Do not turn aside from any of the commands I give you today, to the right or to the left, following other gods and serving them.

We, as a family, often read this scripture from the Bible in our daily prayers. It is amazing and awesome to know that we have experienced the fullness of this blessing in our lives- only because we simply BELIEVED this scripture.
As you read, you will understand that goodness and mercy will follow you all the days of your life; in fact there will be a time when this Blessing is going to overtake you and that is when you will be able to lend to many nations.
May the Lord's abundant blessing be upon you.
