Showers of Blessing!

“I will lift up my eyes to the hills – from whence comes my help? My help comes from the LORD who made heaven and earth” Psalm 121:1 – 2.

Thanks, praise and glory be to the Lord who blessed and prospered us beyond our imagination throughout 2011. I am so full of love, joy and grateful to my Lord for walking us through 2011 in Super Natural Prosperity. Our hearts swell with joy and happiness for all the wonderful and beautiful (excellent) things He has done in our lives.

As we move into the New Year God has wonderful things in store for us. He is ready to “act for the one who waits for Him” Isaiah 64:4. We read in 1 Corinthians 2:9, “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” Love the Lord Jesus Christ unconditionally. You can see the results in days or in hours as it happened in 2 Kings 7.

The people of Samaria experienced a famine and Prophet Elisha prophesied which realised the following day. The four leprous men found an abundance of what they needed in the Syrian camp. Can you imagine an army coming for war with an abundance of gold, silver, clothing and food? Well, if you need a miracle today expect the same which happened in Samaria. God is going to bring to you what you need through someone. With God nothing is impossible.

In 1 Kings 17:4 we see that the Lord commanded the ravens to feed Prophet Elijah. For a moment, can you imagine a raven bringing food for the Lord’s servant? Normally, it is the raven which should eat the food as soon as it sees it. But the raven could not eat it because the Lord had commanded it to bring food for His servant. Likewise, you will see ravens feeding you in this New Year. Do not be surprised. Jesus Christ had ordered several ravens to help us while we moved into this part of the country. God moves the hearts of people to help His children.

God is going to provide divine connections in the New Year. You might not even know the person whom God is going to connect with you. He or she might not be of any importance to you. See how God arranged Boaz to be in a divine connection for Ruth the Moabitess when she came to Bethlehem. When Ruth accepted the Lord to be her Savior, everything fell in place. Hebrews 13:2 reads “Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels.”

May the Lord Jesus Christ bless you abundantly in the New Year. Psalm 91: 14 says, “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because He has known My name.”

Moreover, the Lord will protect you from all evil as the Word says in Psalm 91:10, “No evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; for He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.”

Have a blessed and prosperous 2012!

Showers of Blessing!

“The one who breaks open will come up before them; they will break out, pass through the gate, and go out by it; their king will pass before them. With the LORD at their head.” Micah 2:13.

This is a beautiful promise in the Holy Bible which keeps me going when I face difficult situations in my life where I am totally stuck, nowhere to turn to and completely rejected by people for no reason. I don’t know if you have gone through any of these situations in your life. This has happened to me several times. Jesus Christ is the only answer in such terrible situations and He gave me this blessed promise. Yes, He is the MIGHTY BREAKER and He has opened doors for us miraculously which we could never imagine and ‘it was only for us.’

This verse is a strong promise for all of us and know for sure that Jesus Christ is the only person who will be there for you in such situations. He is the MIGHTY BREAKER for all of those who believe Him. Let it be any problem in your life; believe, He is standing right by you to help you through. Hold on to His hands, He loves you and follow Him.

There are several instances in the Holy Bible where God opened doors for His people. In the book of Exodus, we see God brought the Israelites into Canaan, a land flowing with milk and honey, which belonged to the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Canaanites, Hivites and the Jebusites. Exodus 23:20 says, “Behold, I send an Angel before you to keep you in the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared.”

In the book of Acts, chapter 12 we see Herod the king arrested Peter and put him in prison because it pleased the Jews. Acts 12:7 “Now behold an angel of the LORD stood by him, and a light shone in the prison; and he struck Peter on the side and raised him up saying, “Arise quickly!” And his chains fell off his hands.” Although Peter was sleeping in the prison, Jesus Christ sent His angel in the prison to rescue His precious child. As we read on in verse 10 it says, “When they were past the first and the second guard posts, they came to the iron gate that leads to the city, which opened to them of its own accord; and they went out and went down one street, and immediately the angel departed from him.”

You are a precious child of the Lord Jesus Christ. Your friends and your relatives will really forget you when you need help. And remember, they cannot help you in any way except Jesus Christ. He is concerned about you and is closely watching you all the time. “Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you. See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands.” Isaiah 49:15-16.

In Acts 16:25, Paul and Silas were in prison for healing a demon possessed girl. Unlike Peter, Paul and Silas prayed and sang hymns to God. In verse 26 we read, “Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken, and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed.” God opened the prison doors for His precious people.

Dear reader, the MIGHTY BREAKER loves you and He is going to open a door for you today. Love Him and talk to Him. He loves you more than anyone else in the world. Expect a miracle today.

Be blessed!

Showers of Blessing!

“The God of heaven Himself will prosper us; therefore we His servants will arise and build” Nehemiah 2:20.

Although Nehemiah was King Artaxerxes’ cupbearer and was living in a perfect comfort zone the news brought by one of his brethren made him really sad. The walls surrounding Jerusalem were broken down and the gates were burned with fire. Now this represents the same condition of the present church which is in ruins. When we hear and see what is happening around us we also feel what Nehemiah felt. And it is our responsibility to rebuild the ruins.

As in the days of Nehemiah, God is going to bring people who can rebuild the old ruins. We read in Isaiah 61:4,”And they shall rebuild the old ruins, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the ruined cities, the desolations of many generations.” God is going to provide men and resources for rebuilding the ruins. Ezekiel 36:10 says, “I will multiply men upon you, all the house of Israel, all of it; and the cities shall be inhabited and the ruins rebuilt.”

People have started to realize that without God their lives are in ruins. This is what happened to the Israelites and it is happening today. A time is coming and has come when people are going to run to Jesus Christ who is the one and only God who can save you out of your current situation. There are several men of God who are struggling hard to build the wall as Nehemiah did.

As in the days of old, we can find people like Sanballat, Tobiah, Geshem and the Prophetess Noadiah during these days too who scheme against God’s plan. As we read in Nehemiah 4:20,”Our God will fight for us.” The plans of the enemies will come to nothing. Therefore, we His servants will arise and build.

Be Blessed!

Showers of Blessing!

“…so we shall be separate, Your people and I, from all the people who are upon the face of the earth” Exodus 33:16.

This is exactly what God wanted His people, the Israelites to be when they had to travel through several regions where the people really did not know about the LORD who led Israel to Canaan. But the Israelites often disappointed the LORD by mingling with the people of the land and did just the opposite of what the LORD had commanded them.

Here is what the Lord wants from each one of us even during these days; He is coming for a bride “not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish” Ephesians 5:27.

Although we are in a world where believers and non believers live together there is a big line drawn between the believer and the non believer. You cannot be conformed to the styles of the non believer. He has given you wisdom and we ought to conduct ourselves in a wisely manner. Ephesians 5:15-17 says, “See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore, do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.”

2 Corinthians 6:17 says, “Therefore come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you. I will be a Father to you and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”

“Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God?” James 4:4.

Dear reader, we have a great responsibility to pray for all the people in the world that they come to Jesus and accept Him as their own personal Saviour and Lord. We are the ones who should show them Jesus through our behavior and our life style. They should first see a marked difference in us so that they become attracted to Jesus Christ.

Be Blessed!

Showers of Blessing!

“I lie awake, and am like a sparrow alone on the housetop” Psalm 102:7.

I have been through situations like the sparrow from my childhood days and I love times when I am all by myself. I take advantage of such situations and see them as an opportunity to speak to God. It was hard for me to be left alone all by myself but over the years I knew God had to speak something to me when I was all by myself. If you are going through such an experience do not be discouraged, God is right by your side waiting to talk to you. Switch off your computer or your television and spent some time with God our Father. Do you know that our Father is happy when you start talking to him on a daily basis?

There are several people in the Holy Bible to whom God spoke when they were alone. In Genesis 13:14 we read, “And the LORD said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him.” God spoke to Abram a promise in verse 15 which was specifically for Abram because the call was only for Abram. Lot was Abram’s addition to the Lord’s call.

We see how the Lord appeared to Jacob when he was left alone in Genesis 32:24. God’s blessing to Jacob appears in verse 28, “Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel; for you have struggled with God and with men, and have prevailed.”

Moses was all by himself tending the sheep of Jethro, his father-in-law when the Lord appeared to him in the burning bush and gave him the task of bringing His people, the Israelites from Egypt to Canaan, the land flowing with milk and honey (Exodus 3).

Gideon was threshing wheat in the winepress, hiding himself from the Midianites. In the eyes of the Lord, Gideon “was a mighty man of valor” Judges 6:12. He was not ready to give up his harvest to the enemy. God saw him as a mighty man of valor who set apart himself from the rest of the Israelites.

God started speaking to Samuel when he was alone in 1 Samuel 3:4-11 starting with a prophecy against Prophet Eli who could not restrain his two sons who were wicked and corrupt. We read in 1 Samuel 2:26,”And the child Samuel grew in stature, and in favour both with the LORD and men.”

Be Blessed!

Showers of Blessing!

“And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content” 1 Timothy 6:8.

Apostle Paul wrote this verse to Timothy while mentioning about greed of money. Paul explains to Timothy in 6:6 – 10, how the love of money have strayed many from the faith.

I was talking to a relative the other day when that person made a quote from the Holy Bible which is written above while describing that person’s present situation. This individual worked in a good position for about thirty years and because of mismanagement of finances, all was lost and now “is at the mercy of others” in that person’s own words. God does not want us to be in that kind of life. As His word says He always wants us to be blessed abundantly (John 10:10).

In this aspect, I would like all of us to be like Ruth who “ate and was satisfied and kept some back.” Ruth 2:14. Ruth came to glean the fields and eventually became the owner of the fields. Although she was a Moabite these words made a change in her life, “And your God, my God.” Ruth 1:16. As soon as God heard these words He started to bless her. In fact, we should all have bank balances. We had believers in our congregation who never had a bank account. We requested them to open one by faith. God gave them jobs and they eventually started having savings. Use your money wisely and remember He has given you the wisdom to manage it.

If I believe that I should be content with food and clothing how can I help others in need? 1 Peter 3:8 says, “but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing.” How am I going to bless others with my portion of blessing which the Lord has blessed me with?

As we watch television we hear almost all preachers requesting a gift to run their ministry. Everybody needs money to run the ministry. How will we give if we are just content with food and clothing? Proverbs 13:22 says, “A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children.” We read in Job 42:15,”and their father gave them an inheritance among their brothers.” Job trusted in the Lord and he prospered. Proverbs 28:25 says, “But he who trusts in the Lord will be prospered.”

Proverbs 10:22 says, “The blessing of the LORD makes one rich and He adds no sorrow with it.”

Be Blessed!

Showers of Blessing!

“But when he came to himself”… Luke 15:17.

Jesus tells us of a young man who left his father with his share of the wealth. He came to his senses when nothing was left in his hands and was all by himself. At this point he came to his senses and repented of his life. He returns to his father’s house who was ready to forgive the past. The young man’s father did not even want to listen to what he had to say.

Isaiah 1:18 says, “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” The precious blood of Jesus Christ cleans us of all our sins.

We have a heavenly Father who is ready to forgive all our sins if we repent. He simply loves you and His love is unconditional. Matthew 3:2 tell us, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Again we read in Luke 15:7, “I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.” I have always felt sad over the people who leave this world without accepting Jesus Christ as their personal savior. We read about the rich man and Lazarus in Luke 16:19. The rich man while in hell requests Abraham to sent one from the dead so that his five brothers can repent. He never thought of repentance until he ended up in hell. Let not that happen to us.

If anyone of you who is heavily laden or burdened with your sins, come to Jesus Christ who is waiting for you. He is ready to forgive you and from today onwards you are His precious child.

1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

Be Blessed!

Showers of Blessing!

“Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain! Zechariah 4:7.

As we move on in our daily lives it might occur at times that out of nowhere a mountain suddenly pops up. Although, in our eyes, it seems to be a mountain, God does not see it the way we see it. Well, He has given us the power and the anointing to make this mountain into a plain.

No mountains can make any adverse effect in your lives if you have a solid foundation in God. See what Jesus says in Luke 6:48, “He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock.”

We read in Exodus 14 that the Red Sea was a “mountain” for Moses and the children of Israel. Moses was a little shaken when he heard their cry and their rebellious words. In Exodus 14:15 God asks Moses a question, “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward.” God had already anointed Moses to do all the signs and wonders in Egypt. But for a moment he forgot who he was. In Exodus 7:1 we read, “So the LORD said to Moses: “See, I have made you as God to Pharaoh, and Aaron your brother shall be your prophet.” In Exodus 14:16 God himself gives Moses the solution to the problem he is facing, “But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.” Now they are marching right through the problem and on dry ground too.

God does not put you through trials and tribulations. Remember, HE IS A GOOD GOD, FULL OF COMPASSION AND LOVE. He does not gain anything by making you suffer. So who brings all these troubles? I know for sure you are aware of it. God had a plan for the children of Israel even before they started out of Egypt and we read about it in Exodus 13:17. The crossing of the Red sea was the second plan because God did not want the children of Israel to be scared of wars.

In Mark 9:23 Jesus says, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”

And believe, “For with God nothing will be impossible” Luke 1:37. With God on your side, all mountains will turn into plains.

Be Blessed!

Showers of Blessing!

“As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds His people from this time forth and forever. For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest on the land allotted to the righteous… Psalm 125:2-3.

Every born again child of God is protected by the Lord from the evil one. As we read in Job 1:10 see what Satan says to God, “Have you not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? Do we have such a protection during these days? Yes, even now we have the hedge around us as Job had in his days. And the hedge is the precious blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.

God protects His people wherever they are. Do not think that God does not see you because you live in a remote area or in a land where you do not have the freedom to worship the LORD. You might be in a situation where there is none to help you out of your present condition. Do not worry, He sees you and is watching over you. The Word says, “The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their cry.” Psalm 34:15. “The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth” Psalm 145:18.

In Exodus 12:13 we see how God protected His people before the great judgement on Pharaoh and the Egyptians. “Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.”

As you rise up in the morning plead the precious blood of the Lord Jesus Christ upon your family and yourself and whatever belongs to you. No evil shall ever touch you. Satan will flee when he sees the blood of Jesus.

Dear brother/sister you are precious in the eyes of the LORD. He has seen you and He knows what you are going through. Psalm 139:5 says, “You have hedged me behind and before, and laid Your hand upon me.” The supernatural protection of the Lord is upon you.

Be Blessed and remember Jesus loves you!

Showers of Blessing!

“But My servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit in him and has followed me fully, I will bring into the land where he went, and his descendants shall inherit it” Numbers 14:24.

Twelve spies representing twelve tribes were sent out of the Israelite camp by Moses per the command of the Lord to spy out the land which the Lord had promised the Israelites as an inheritance. We read about this in Numbers 13 and two of the spies, Joshua and Caleb brought a good report of the land which they saw. The Lord had already given the land into the hand of the Israelites. But ten of the chosen spies rebelled against God.

These things happen in our daily life too. God needs people like Joshua and Caleb who have a different spirit during these days. And it is only by such people God can bring about a change in the world in the coming days. When we read Joshua 14:6-15 we find Caleb who was eighty five years old ready to inherit Hebron from Joshua. He waited forty five years to inherit Hebron and it still was occupied by the giants. Nothing was a problem for Caleb because he had a different spirit.

We find so many characters in the Holy Bible who had a different spirit. God could do mighty things and miracles only through such people. In Numbers 25:9 we read of Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest who stopped the plague which spread through the Israelite camp. In Numbers 25:12 the Lord says, “Behold, I give to him My covenant of peace; and it shall be to him and his descendants after him a covenant of an everlasting priesthood, because he was zealous for his God, and made atonement for the children of Israel.”

My dear readers, God expects the same from you and me. In Acts 17:6 we read how the people of Thessalonica responded when Apostle Paul and Silas reasoned with the Jews during three Sabbaths. They said, “These who have turned the world upside down have come here too.” Apostle Paul was one of those men of God who had a different spirit which enabled him to do much more than the disciples.

Be Blessed

Showers of Blessing!

“For You, O LORD, will bless the righteous; with favor You will surround him with a shield” Psalm 5:12.

Prophet Elisha was a righteous man of God and the Shunamite lady and her husband had supernatural favor upon him. “And she said to her husband, “Look now, I know that this is a holy man of God, who passes by us regularly” 2 Kings 4:9. They made an upper room for Prophet Elisha with all that he needed. Elisha believed with all his heart that God was his source and did not accept any gift from man as we read in 2 Kings 5:16.

Daniel was one among the several young Hebrew men carried away from Jerusalem to Babylon. He was chosen to serve in the king’s palace. We read in Daniel 1:9, “Now God had brought Daniel into the favor and goodwill of the chief of the eunuchs.” We know how great Daniel was among the men of God who did not want to defile himself with the king’s delicacies.

In Luke 1:28 we see how angel Gabriel greets Mary, “Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!” When the angel found that Mary was troubled and amazed by the greeting, he went on to say, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God” Luke 1:30. God chose Mary because He knew that she was not rebellious and that she loved the Lord. Moreover, she accepted the prophecy from the Lord with all her heart and replied, “Behold the maid servant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.”

The Philippian Jailer treated Paul and Silas just like any other prisoner. But things turned around when Paul and Silas started to pray and sing hymns to God (Acts 16:25). The result was an earthquake which turned the attitude of the jailer into supernatural favour as we read in Acts 16:30, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” The jailer took Paul and Silas to his house and washed their stripes and food was set before them. Above all, the jailer and his household accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior.

Dear readers, I encourage you to be strong in the Lord. I do not know what your present circumstances are but I know there is a good God in heaven whose eyes are on His people and is looking for ways to bless you in a supernatural way. He will let people have supernatural favor upon you. And nothing is impossible for Him.

Be Blessed!

Showers of Blessing!

“Please let me go to the field and glean heads of grain after him in whose sight I may find favor.” Ruth 2: 2.

While going through the second chapter of Ruth we find out that Ruth was going to glean the field of Boaz for the first time. She came to know about Boaz from Naomi. In her own words she expects to find favor from Boaz whom she has never met in her life.

The return of Ruth and Naomi from Moab to Bethlehem was at the perfect appointed time of the Lord. They reached Bethlehem at the time of the barley harvest. Now Boaz, the owner of the field, came to his fields at the same time for harvest. The supernatural favor of the Lord started working in favor of Ruth. As you read, you will find everything worked for her as God had planned for her. This is how God works for His children. Although nothing seems to be seen in the natural realm, things are working for us in the spiritual realm. Do not be disappointed if things are not working in your favor. The God of heaven is right there for you. He has arranged someone to meet your needs. “For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him” Matthew 6:8.

In Esther 2 we read about Esther who found favor with Hegai, the King’s custodian (Esther 2:9). Esther was an ordinary girl but obtained favor in the sight of all who saw her Esther 2:15. In Esther 2:17 we read, “The king loved Esther more than all the other women, and she obtained grace and favor in his sight more than all the virgins; so he set the royal crown upon her head and made her queen instead of Vashti.”

Now how did this happen? Have you ever wondered about it? Did queen Vashti do anything wrong? The only thing she did was that she refused to appear before the king and his friends who were drunk. You might be thinking, “Is it fair?” Of course not, there was nothing wrong about the queen’s decision. But it was Just in the eyes of the Lord to favor Esther.

My dear readers, you and I are in the same position of Esther. “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble” Proverbs 3:34. “Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you” 2 Peter 5:6-7.

Out of my own experience, I have seen supernatural promotions recently. Now, this had begun to happen in places where I had worked before. People working in high positions disappear in no time. If you are highly favored He will promote you to positions for which you might not be eligible.

Keep praying. Let His favor be upon you.

Be Blessed!

Supernatural Favor!

“And the LORD had given the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they granted them what they requested. Thus they plundered the Egyptians” Exodus 12:12:36.

Supernatural favor is from the Lord and we are enjoying it from the day we were born again. Wherever the Lord took us we enjoyed the supernatural favor of the people whom God had arranged for us. These people had some sort of affection, kindness and compassion towards us and had gone out of the way to help us. Dear reader, you might be enjoying the same supernatural favor wherever you are right now.

Throughout the Holy Bible we find God had given supernatural favor to His children wherever they went. In Exodus we find the Israelites were given favor by the Egyptians who gave them a hard time while in slavery. But when it was time to leave Egypt, they loaded the Israelites with silver and gold and the word says that they plundered the Egyptians.

In Genesis 39:4 we read how Joseph found favor in the sight of Potiphar and how he made him overseer of his house and eventually he put everything under Joseph’s authority. Now when Potiphar turned Joseph into prison, the keeper of the prison had supernatural favor on Joseph. We read in Genesis 39:21 “But the LORD was with Joseph and showed him mercy and He gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison.” Eventually the keeper of the prison handed him over the supervision of the prison. This is how God’s children will be shown favor and in due course of time they will be elevated.

How does this happen? Isn’t it surprising? Well this was much amazing to us too. But this is now a daily affair for us. People whom we have not met in our lives come running to help us. I remember once when my wife was about to board a bus to catch a flight a man came running towards her out of nowhere and got hold of the two suitcases she had and put them into the bus for her. Well, she was wondering who would help her and here comes a guy to help her.

I pray that wherever you are, may you be highly favored by the people around you. If you find a supervisor who is not in your favor pray to the Lord and I am sure that today the Lord is going to touch his or her heart in your favor.

Be highly favored and be blessed!

Promise of the Day

 Isiah 41 : 10-20
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing; and they that strive with thee shall perish.
Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them, even them that contended with thee: they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought.
For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.
Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the LORD, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.
Behold, I will make thee a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth: thou shalt thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and shalt make the hills as chaff.
Thou shalt fan them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the whirlwind shall scatter them: and thou shalt rejoice in the LORD, and shalt glory in the Holy One of Israel.
When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them.
I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.
I will plant in the wilderness the cedar, the shittah tree, and the myrtle, and the oil tree; I will set in the desert the fir tree, and the pine, and the box tree together:
That they may see, and know, and consider, and understand together, that the hand of the LORD hath done this, and the Holy One of Israel hath created it.

Thought for the day

Deuteronomy 28:12

The LORD will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow.
Deuteronomy 28:13

And the LORD will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them.

Showers of Blessing!

“Your complaints are not against us but against the LORD” Exodus 16:8.

The Israelites had no reason to complain against God because He had provided them before hand with whatever they needed on their journey from Egypt to Canaan. But they kept on complaining for trivial reasons, which angered the Lord. Coming out of Egypt was itself one of the greatest miracles, which the Lord did for His people. They saw with their own eyes how the Lord had parted the Red sea and how their enemies were drowned in it. As they moved further they forgot all about what the Lord did for them and started murmuring against Moses and Aaron.

During these days too we find people with complaining spirit. I know a person who had a very low beginning and was immensely blessed by the Lord with supernatural miracles, which he could not imagine. Every time I talked to him, he complained about everything. Please do remember, the complaints that we make are against God. Take time to think of the blessings He has showered upon you. God gave the Israelites ‘Manna’ which was food of the angels (Psalm 78:25). God provided quails for His people as we read in Numbers 11:31. The Lord made the bitter waters of Marah to sweet water Exodus 15:25. He provided them water from the rock at Rephidim and at Kadesh as we read in Exodus 17:6 and in Numbers 20:8. God showed the Israelites twice that He had stored water for His chosen ones in a rock. He knew that His people would travel this same route and blessed them with water, which no one had ever touched. Moreover, God protected His people as we read in Exodus 13:21, “And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so as to go by day and night.” As we read in Psalm 78:55, “He also drove out the nations before them, allotted them an inheritance by survey, and made the tribes of Israel dwell in their tents.”

We read of this inheritance in Psalm 105:44 as, “And they inherited the labor of the nations.”

My dear readers, He is the same God yesterday, today and tomorrow. Do not worry or complain against the Lord because He knows what you need. He knows what you need even before you pray about it.

Be Blessed!

Showers of Blessing!

“Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb is a reward” Psalm 127:3.

When we go through the scriptures we find that Jesus loved children. In Matthew 19:14 we see the disciples rebuked the children who were brought to Jesus so that He might put His hands and pray for them. But Jesus replied, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.”

Throughout the Holy Bible we see several families which lacked children. God was so compassionate that he understood the hurt they were going through and blessed them with children. Abraham and Sarah (Genesis 11:30), Isaac and Rebekah (Genesis 25:21), Jacob and Rachel (Genesis 29:31), Manoah and his wife (Judges 13:2), Elkanah and Hannah (1 Samuel 1:2), Zacharias and Elizabeth (Luke 1:7) were all blessed with children. And needless to say their offspring were great men of God.

I have accompanied my Pastor several times to pray for people who lacked children. And most of them received as Hannah received Samuel. I remember on May 20, 2008 a couple who are related to me received their baby girl after nineteen years. Nothing is impossible to God. They had done several tests and lost a good amount of money but finally came to Jesus to receive their baby girl. Psalm 128:3 says, “Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine in the very heart of your house, your children like olive plants all around your table. Behold, thus shall the man be blessed who fears the LORD.”

Children are a blessing from the Lord. Jesus at one time told His disciples in Matthew 18:3, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.”

Showers of Blessing!

“Know that the LORD, He is God; it is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people and the sheep of His pasture” Psalm 100:3.

What a wonderful God we have who takes care of us in amazing and mysterious ways. He has great and mighty plans for us. As we read in Psalm 33:11, “The counsel of the LORD stands forever, the plans of His heart to all generations.” The day we promised that we are His; He took over us and made wonderful plans for us. Believe me, even until this moment He is the master. “He is the God of my strength, in whom I will trust; my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold and my refuge; my Savior, You save me from violence”

2 Samuel 22:3.

It is a wonderful experience to be His chosen people. As we read in Deuteronomy 14:2 “For you are a holy people to the LORD your God, and the LORD has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples who are on the face of the earth.”

“just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love…”Ephesians 1:4. Yes, He chose us before the foundations of the world and that is amazing. We read in Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”

I have reached a point where He is everything in my life. Psalm 16:8 says, “I have set the LORD always before me; because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved.” When I look back, there were many critical situations when I was all by myself. He was right by my side to hold me and take care of me. “He bore us on eagles’ wings and brought us to Himself” Exodus 19:4. “You are my LORD, my goodness is nothing apart from You” Psalm 16:2.

Dear believer, it is high time you give your lives to the LORD. Believe me; He has great plans for you. Let Him be the LORD of your lives.

Be Blessed!

Showers of Blessing!

“And Samuel said, “Here it is, what was kept back. It was set apart for you. Eat; for until this time it has been kept for you1 Samuel 9:24.

God sets apart the best for His children. No matter whatever the circumstances are, His children will be fed with the best of the land. It does not matter whether you are in the midst of recession or in any sort of awful situation; do not worry, God is in control. God asked Samuel to anoint Saul as the first commander of Israel. He informed Samuel about Saul’s coming as we read in 1 Samuel 9:15-17. Although Saul came to Samuel in search of the lost donkeys, God had seen him as the next commander of Israel.

We read in Isaiah 1:19, “If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land; But if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured by the sword”; for the mouth of the LORD has spoken.

When the Israelites complained to Moses about food, God heard their complaint and “had rained down manna on them to eat, and given them of the bread of heaven. Men ate angels’ food; He sent them food to the full” Psalm 78:24-25. We still have the same God for us who fed the Israelites. He has the best for you and me. Do not be shocked when you hear of earthquakes and tsunamis. It is not for us.

The Pharaoh of Egypt had supernatural favor on Joseph because he knew Joseph had the Spirit of God in him. Now when Pharaoh came to know that Joseph’s brothers visited him during the famine, see what Pharaoh tells Joseph in Genesis 45:18, “Bring your father and your households and come to me; I will give you the best of the land of Egypt, and you will eat the fat of the land.” And moreover not satisfied with what he told, Pharaoh adds on to it in verse 20, “Also do not be concerned about your goods, for the best of all the land of Egypt is yours.”

God does not want you to live from pay check to pay check, but He wants you to have The Best to the maximum. Psalm 81:10 says, “Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it. And He is ready “to feed you with the finest of wheat and honey from the rock until you are satisfied” Psalm 81:16.

My dear brothers and sisters, it does not matter which part of the world you are, God sees you and has kept The Best for you if you remain faithful to Him. Nothing is impossible to God. Believe, He has great and mighty plans for you and THE BEST IS YET TO COME.

Be Blessed!

Showers of Blessing

“If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it” Genesis 4:7.

King Ahab was a great warrior and had great success in his life “but was sold himself to do wickedness in the sight of the Lord, because Jezebel his wife stirred him up” 1 Kings 21:25. Success made him greedy and he coveted the vineyard of Naboth to make it a vegetable garden. We read in the Scripture that Naboth inherited the vineyard as he says to King Ahab in 1 Kings 21:3, “The Lord forbid that I should give the inheritance of my fathers to you!” The King was a very rich man as we see in 1 Kings 22:39 that he possessed an ivory palace. But he coveted the vineyard as it was adjacent to Ahab’s palace. God does not want your vineyard to be made into a vegetable garden. See for yourself which is more valuable; the vineyard or the vegetable garden? He wants you to enjoy it and that is why he has given it to you. Do not give away your inheritance to others even if somebody prophesies over it. Seek God’s answer before you do anything.

As believers, we must be very careful in our day to day lives because we might not be aware when sin creeps in as covetousness or in any form. I have seen this nature in men of God. It is so sad to say that such men are beyond correction. While working for a great ministry, I was sent to a neighbour to resolve an issue for my employer which made him angry. The neighbour was so furious that he asked me, “How dare you step into my property?” I talked to him very softly and he asked me a question which still lingers in my mind and it was,” Is the verse “You shall love your neighbour as yourself” (Matthew 19:19) missing from the man of God’s (name of my employer) Bible?” He was perfectly right. God taught me something which I should be careful of when I handled this incident. Let me tell you, love overtook his anger and over the years we became good friends and we still we are.

Covetousness can be in any form. By being born again, baptized and again baptized with all the gifts of the Holy Spirit is of no use unless we are circumcised within. The circumcision should happen within our heart to keep away from such temptations.

In 2 Samuel 11 we find King David who was supposed to be at the battle remained in Jerusalem and saw something which made him to sin. We read in Exodus 20:17,”You shall not covet your neighbor’s house, you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.”

We know what happened to King Ahab as the Lord prophesied through Prophet Elijah as we read in 1 Kings 22:34 – 35. King David, on the other hand repented when God sent Nathan to convey His words.

Dear readers, as you go through this message are you in the shoes of Naboth or King Ahab or King David? If you represent Naboth, make sure you do not give away your inheritance which the Lord has entrusted in you. If you represent King Ahab or King David it is high time to repent. As we read in Psalm 30:5, “For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life.”

Be Blessed!

Showers of Blessing!

“If Mordecai, before whom you have begun to fall, is of Jewish descent, you will not prevail against him but will surely fall before him” Esther 6:13.

These are the words of Zeresh, Haman’s wife to him when King Ahasuerus planned to honor Mordecai who saved the life of the King. These characters are still alive in our day to day lives. We find more Hamans than Mordecais during these days. Haman was filled with wrath when he found that Moredecai did not bow or pay him homage Esther 3:5.

Every born again believer is a Jew as we read in Romans 2:28 “For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly…” and in Romans 2:29 it says, “but he is a Jew who is one inwardly…”

As we receive Jesus Christ as our personal Savior and Lord our inner thoughts and our minds are renewed or circumcised. We cannot behave or be like the worldly people around us. Haman himself tells the King that the Jewish people’s “laws are different from all other people’s, and they do not keep the king’s law.” Esther 3:8. Yes, of course our ways are different from the worldly ways. Matthew 7:13 says, “Enter by the narrow gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.”

We find such Hamans in our place of work or study or business. I have encountered many Hamans in my life. And I still do. Do not worry about such people because as a born again child of God, He is right there to take care of you. Psalm 125:2 says, “As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds His people from this time forth and forever.” You might wonder why this is happening to me without any specific reason. We find the answer to this in Psalm 37:7 -10, “Rest in the LORD and wait patiently for Him… Do not fret…Cease from anger…it only causes harm. For evildoers shall be cut off…For yet a little while and the wicked shall be no more; indeed you will look carefully for his place, but it shall be no more.”

But the final outcome is what we read in Isaiah 54:17,

“No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgement You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is from Me,” Says the LORD.”

Showers of Blessing!

“And they said among themselves, “Who will roll away the stone from the door of the tomb for us?” Mark 16:3.

Mary Magdalene was only worried about the large stone in front of Jesus Christ tomb as they approached the tomb to anoint Jesus Christ with the spices which they had already made. But much to their amazement the large stone was rolled away. We read that the angels rolled it away for them.

In our day to day life we find such large stones in front of us blocking our path. King David always depended on the Lord when he encountered problems in his path. He knew the Lord more than anybody. Likewise, I always depend on the Lord when such obstacles trouble me. These obstacles are not at all a problem for the Lord. He is there to solve them for you and me.

We read in 2 Chronicles 20:12 how King Jehoshaphat said to the Lord, “O our God, will You not judge them? For we have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You.” God spoke through Jahaziel and we read it in 2 Chronicles 20:15,”Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.” Verse 17 says, “You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you.”

It is always good to remember that God is in control of our lives and He watches over us all the time. He is the help of those who seek Him. We read in Psalm 121:1, “I will lift up my eyes to the hills-from whence comes my help? Here comes the answer, “My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth” Psalm 121:2. Verse 3 says, “He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep” Psalm 121:4.

Dear believer, please don’t be worried of the present circumstances which bother you. Our God is in control and He is ready to help you. You are His precious child and He loves you unconditionally. No matter however large is the stone in front of you, He is able to roll it away.

Be Blessed!
