Showers of Blessing!

“O LORD, You are my God, I will exalt You, I will praise Your name, for you have done wonderful things.” Isaiah 25:1

As 2010 is leaving us and 2011 is at our doorstep let us thank the Lord Almighty for all the blessings He has showered upon us in 2010.

O Lord! my heavenly Father, “I will praise You, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will tell of all Your marvelous works. I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High” Psalm 9:1 & 2).

I will “Bless the Lord and His holy name with my soul and with all that is within me” Psalm 103:1. How can I ever forget all Your benefits? You forgave all my iniquities and healed me when I was sick. I will extol you O Lord, for You have lifted me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay and set my feet upon a rock and established my steps (Psalm 40:2). You brought me out into a broad place; You delivered me because You delighted in me” Psalm 18:19. “I will praise the name of God with a song and will magnify Him with thanksgiving” (Psalm 69:30).

Hallelujah! Thank you Lord for “preparing a table before me in the presence of my enemies; and anointing my head with oil” Psalm 23:5. “I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well” Psalm 139:14. Thank you Lord for You have hedged me behind and before, and laid Your hand upon me” Psalm 139:5.

This prayer is my sacrifice to You O Lord from the bottom of my heart because countless are your blessings and great is Your mercy towards me and my family.

“The hardest arithmetic to master is that which enables us to count our blessings” – Eric Hoffer

It is my sincere prayer to all readers of this blog around the globe that the Lord Almighty will bless you and prosper you much more abundantly in 2011.

Be Blessed!

Happy New Year

Showers of Blessing!

“For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.” 1 Samuel 15:23

The above statement was made by Prophet Samuel to King Saul when he disobeyed the voice of the Lord. This resulted in the Lord rejecting King Saul from his position and the anointing of David as the next King of Israel. We find that King David was so loyal and faithful to the Lord. God always need people who obey Him to the core to bring about His plans on earth. Acts 13:22 says, “I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will.”

We are chosen by God to fulfill His purpose and plans. Ezekiel was chosen to be sent to the rebellious nation Israel. The Lord says to Ezekiel in 2:3 “Son of man, I am sending you to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that has rebelled against Me; they and their fathers have transgressed against Me to this very day.” And as the Lord says in Ezekiel 2:7, “You shall speak My words to them, whether they hear or whether they refuse, for they are rebellious.”

We are to preach repentance to every nation we are sent, rebellious or not, as Apostle Peter says in Acts 2:38, “Repent, and let everyone of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” Ezekiel 2:6 says, “And you son of man, do not be afraid of them nor be afraid of their words… because He has made you “Like adamant stone, harder than flint, I have made your forehead; do not be afraid of them, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they are a rebellious house” (Ezekiel 3:9).

I have seen believers and men of God taking actions without taking advice from the Lord. When things go wrong, they blame God for it, whereas remember, God has nothing to do with the wrong actions we make. Isaiah 30:1 says, “Woe to the rebellious children,” says the Lord, “Who take counsel, but not of Me, and who devise plans, but not of My Spirit, that they may add sin to sin…”

The Word says rebellion and stubbornness are equal to the sin of witchcraft and idolatry. So let us not rebel or be stubborn to the word of the Lord.

Be Blessed!

Showers of Blessing

“Yet I have reserved seven thousand in Israel, all whose knees have not bowed to Baal, and every mouth that has not kissed him” 1 Kings 19:18.

God answered Prophet Elijah when he told Him that he was very zealous for the Lord and he was the only one left for Him. God knew His remnant even though Prophet Elijah failed to identify them. He has kept a remnant of His people in every part of the world. The remnant of the Lord “will depend on the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, in truth” Isaiah 10:20. Their whole trust is on the Lord because they walk supernaturally on earth according to His plans and live by His provisions. Wherever they go the people of the land will have a supernatural favor on them as they had with Joseph. The Lord protects His remnant as He protected the Israelites when they came out of Egypt “the Lord will go before you, and the God of Israel will be your rear guard” Isaiah 52:12.

He keeps them moving from place to place as He moved Abraham to fulfil His plan (Genesis 12:1-3). No matter whichever part of the world they are positioned they “shall again take root downward, and bear fruit upward” Isaiah 37:31 & 2 Kings 19:30.

This is the promise of the Lord to His remnant “who have been upheld by Me from birth, who have been carried from the womb: even to your old age, I am He, and even to gray hairs I will carry you! I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry and will deliver you” Isaiah 46:3-4.

God’s remnant “shall do no unrighteousness and speak no lies, nor shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth; for they shall feed their flocks and lie down, and no one shall make them afraid” Zephaniah 3:13. He is still in the process of gathering His remnant. The Lord has kept His remnant for a great revival in the world, to repair the house of our God, to rebuild its ruins” Ezra 9:9.

”In that day the Lord of hosts will be for a crown of glory and a diadem of beauty to the remnant of His people” Isaiah 28:5.

Showers of Blessing

“Then He appointed twelve, that they might be with Him and that He might send them out to preach, and to have power to heal sicknesses and to cast out demons” Mark 3:14.

Although Jesus appointed twelve apostles to be with Him, Peter, James and John accompanied Jesus more closely than the others. Peter, one among the twelve apostles was the first to speak out to the public after they were anointed by the Holy Spirit. His first speech brought three thousand souls to the Lord. We read in John 15:4 ”Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.” Peter knew he could do nothing of his own because one word (John 21:6) from the Lord gave him one hundred fifty three large fishes and the net was not broken (John 21:11). We need to be coupled with the Lord in order to have a fruitful ministry.

The apostles obeyed Jesus’ words in preaching the Word to the nations. As we read in Mark 16:15 “And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” The Lord wants us to “Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching” 2 Timothy 4:2. Apostle Paul says in Timothy 4:3 & 4 “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.” Last week I was so happy to see a sticker on a car which read, “We want God back in America.” It is good that people have started to realize that without God we are nothing.

During these days, we hear about many new kinds of sicknesses. These are the days we need more of healing, miracles, signs and wonders. Peter and John healed the lame man who was seated at Solomon’s Portico Acts 3:6. Apostle Paul annoyed by the slave girl possessed with a spirit of divination commanded the spirit to come out of the girl in the name of Jesus Christ. And it obeyed him Acts 16:18.

Dear believer, I strongly believe that these words are meaningful to you and as Christians we need to exercise our authority to preach the Gospel and heal the sick.

“Put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe.” Joel 3:13.

Showers of Blessing

Now the Lord had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, from your family and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you.” Genesis 12:1

These are the words of the Lord to Abram when the Lord found him in Ur of the Chaldeans. “By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out not knowing where he was going” Hebrews 11:8.

The Lord spoke to me just as He spoke to Abraham when I was wholly settled according to world standards. I obeyed the Lord and in every step and I know I am walking with Him. When I entrusted myself into His hands He took good care of my family and prospered me in every inch of my life. I was nothing when He called me and I know He has invested so much in me. He is the sweetest person in my life. I tasted Him as we read in Psalm 34:8 “Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him.”

Has God ever spoken to you and are you ignoring His voice? If He has spoken to you through His Word or through His Prophets’ time and again, please do not ignore the call. Be aware, that if you ignore His call He is going to choose another person in your place. Once you step out in faith the Red Sea and the Jordan are going to part before you Exodus 14:16 / Joshua 3:16. Be faithful in His work and He will indeed bless you supernaturally.

We read in Acts 6:5 how the Lord chose Stephen and Philip along with five others who served tables. Both of them did great wonders and signs among the people Acts 6:8. Acts 9:15 tells us how Apostle Paul was chosen by the Lord. “Go, for he is a chosen vessel of Mine to bear My name before Gentiles, kings and the children of Israel.”

Jesus said, "The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest" Luke 10:2.

Showers of Blessing!

“The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous.” Genesis 26:13

A born again child of the Lord God Almighty who keeps His commandments, His statutes and His laws will become supernaturally prosperous. God blessed Isaac because his father “Abraham obeyed the Lord and kept His charge, His commandments, His statutes and His laws” Genesis 26:5. Abraham’s obedience to God resulted in a blessing to Isaac. I have seen the same kind of blessing come upon believers as soon as they come closer to the Lord. God sees the heart, the commitment and the faith of the believer to serve Him wholeheartedly which in turn will bring blessings upon them. Remember we ought to be sold out to God.

As you obey God, he will take you to greener pastures where you might be all by yourself. Although the whole world will be crying out RECESSION the place where He has taken you will always be green for you. We read in Genesis 26:12 “Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold, and the Lord blessed him.” Isaac reaped a hundredfold in a land hit by famine Genesis 26:1. If this has happened for Isaac, it is the same for you too.

“The blessings of the Lord will come upon you and it will start to overtake you because you obey the voice of the Lord” Deuteronomy 28:2. The blessings of the Lord will come upon you without your knowledge and the people of the land will start envying you as we read in Genesis 26:14 “So the Philistines envied him.” Do not worry when this happens to you. Stay cool because God is in control. “He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world” 1 John 4:4.

The envy of the people will be turned into favor by the Lord. People will start fearing you because they will come to know that the Lord is with you. “You are now the blessed of the Lord” Genesis 26:29.

Be blessed!

Showers of Blessing

“For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever” Exodus 14:13.

The Lord had seen the oppression of His people in Egypt and called forth Moses who was tending the flock of Jethro, his father-in-law. God had all the plans before-hand to deliver His people from Egypt to bring them to a good and large land flowing with milk and honey.

For the past two weeks I have been going through very tough times at my workplace. At times it is really hard to bear and I keep wondering, “Why are they doing this to me?” And let me tell you, this is not the first time I am going through all of this. It keeps repeating all the time. And I say to myself,”Oh no, not again!” So what I did is to talk to my God and He replied as usual, “Be still, and know that I am God” Psalm 46:10. Things started changing when I spoke to God about my problems. I did not do anything on my own as it is written in Romans 12:19 “Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord.

If you are going through tough times, do not worry. God is in control. The Lord says, “And I will make you to this people a fortified bronze wall; and they will fight against you, but they shall not prevail against you; for I am with you to save you and deliver you,” says the Lord (Jeremiah 15:20). Let me tell you, things started to change for me. God is good all the time for His children. You will not see the people who put you through tough times. Psalm 30:15 tells us, “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.” As the Lord did to the Egyptians He is going to deal with the people who create problems for you. Please do not be discouraged.

The Word says, “The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry” Psalm 34:15.

Be Blessed!

Showers of Blessing

“Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away” Matthew 24:35

Our Lord Jesus Christ has given us His “Word which is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it” Deuteronomy 30:14, Romans 10:8. We will be blessed by spending time reading the Word of God whereby “His word will be hidden in our hearts that we might not sin against Him” Psalm 119:11.

God’s Word will start penetrating deep into us which does the pruning in our lives that we may bear more fruit. Hebrews 4:12 tell us, “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

Jesus said, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.” John 8:31 and “if anyone keeps My word he shall never see death” John 8:51. “His word is truth” John 17:17 and “Every word of God is pure” Proverbs 30:5 and “The Word of our God stands forever” Isaiah 40:8.

As we learn from the parable of the sower in Luke 8:4-15 let us be the good ground on which the seed(“The seed is the word of God” Luke 8:11) fell and “having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience.”

So let us be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves James 1:22.

“Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom” Col 3:16.

Be blessed!

Showers of Blessing

“And the Lord heard it.” Numbers 12:2

Numbers 12 deals with the dissension of Aaron and Miriam against Moses. As we read the whole chapter we see that God did not have a problem with Moses. But it was Aaron and Miriam who had a problem. Numbers 12:1 tells us, “Then Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married; for he had married an Ethiopian woman. So they said, “Has the Lord indeed spoken only through Moses? Has he not spoken through us also? And the Lord heard it.” The Lord’s anger aroused against Miriam and she became leprous, as white as snow (Numbers 12:10). Miriam’s accusation against Moses affected Miriam as well as the Israelite camp (Numbers 12:15)

God never wanted anyone to accuse His servant because Moses was chosen by the Lord to lead His people to a land flowing with milk and honey. We read of Moses as “Now the man Moses was very humble, more than all men who were on the face of the earth Numbers 12:3.

In Numbers 16 we see Korah, Dathan, Abiram and On rebel against Moses and Aaron. We see that God only spoke to Moses about His plan. That must have really provoked this group. They accuse Moses in Numbers 16:13, “that you should keep acting like a prince over us?” The result of the rebellion can be seen in Numbers 16:31,”Now it came to pass, as he finished speaking all these words, that the ground split apart under them, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up, with their households and all the men with Korah, with all their goods.”

Rebellion can be seen during these days too. Mostly we see it in the church, when believers unite against Pastors who have really struggled to build up the church. We must know that Men of God are anointed people of God and conspiring against them will really end up in deep trouble. Let us leave them alone, for God will speak to them if anything has gone wrong in their lives. Who are we to judge Men of God? But we can do one thing which is to pray for them.

1 Samuel 15:23 says, “For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.” Let us not be rebellious against God and His anointed.

Be blessed!

Showers of Blessing

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people He has chosen as His own inheritance.” Psalm 33:12

We read in 2 Chronicles 29:1 that King Hezekiah started his reign in Jerusalem at the age of twenty five. The first thing he did when he came to power was to clean and repair the temple of the Lord. He saw with his own eyes what had come upon Judah and Jerusalem because his fathers forsook the Lord and did evil in the eyes of the Lord. King Hezekiah restored the temple worship and brought Judah back to the Lord.

During these days, we find the same kind of people who are far from the Lord and who do not keep His ways. I have always felt sad at the plight of such people and it always reminded me that we have a greater responsibility to bring back the people and the nation as a whole to God. Isaiah 55:6 says, “Seek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, and He will have mercy on him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.”

I pray that whoever reads this message should start praying for his country and for the whole world. We need born again children of God at the helm of every country. Let us pray that every person repent and come to the Lord. As we read in Amos 5:4 “For thus says the Lord to the house of Israel: Seek Me and live.” Let us “Seek the Lord and His strength; seek His face forevermore.” Psalm 105:4

In 2 Chronicles 30:12 we read, “Also the hand of God was on Judah to give them singleness of heart to obey the command of the king and the leaders, at the word of the Lord.” I pray that we all unite together, irrespective of which country we belong, to pray for the nations and its leaders that they govern their nations with wisdom from God. We have the responsibility to bring back our nation to prosperity. 2 Chronicles 7:14 says, ”If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

Be Blessed!

Showers of Blessing

“Do you want to be made well?” John 5:6

We read in John 5:1-15 how a man who was a paralytic for thirty-eight years was miraculously healed by Jesus. I have always thought that this man must have been put by the pool in Jerusalem by his relatives for a miracle healing. During the earlier years of his stay by the pool he must have desperately tried to get into the pool as soon as the angel stirred up the water to be healed. But over the years, the man must have lost his hope to get healed and stayed there for thirty-eight years. Now this position by the pool has become a comfort zone for him. He must have thought, “If I get out of this place I need to go back to my family, but a bigger problem is awaiting me there and that is I need to work for a living. The sympathy will end and the relatives will find me a job seeing that I am healed.”

Being beside the pool the man must have been a hindrance for others to get healed. Knowing he was there for quite a long time Jesus asked him, “Do you want to be made well?” The answer was not a ‘yes’ or ‘no’, but he said there is none to put him into the pool when the water is stirred up. That was an irrelevant answer to Jesus, the mighty healer which made Him say, “Rise, take up your bed and walk” (verse 8).

Jesus the healer is standing beside you right now. You can ask Him for the healing. Let the power of Jesus enter your body and heal you. Thank Jesus for the healing. He does not want you to be sick.

If the Lord is taking you out of your comfort zone today, do not be troubled, be ready - you are on the verge of a promotion.

Be Blessed.

Showers of Blessing

Then Jesus answered and said to her, “O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour. Matthew 15:28

These are the words of our Lord Jesus Christ who was moved by the words of faith of a Canaanite woman. Jesus knew she had great faith which resulted in a miracle. We read in Matthew 9:29 that two blind men were crying out and followed Jesus to be healed of their blindness. Jesus healed them when those replied that they believed He was able to heal them. Jesus says, “According to your faith let it be to you.” All miracles, signs and wonders occur by faith. I have seen people getting instantly healed when we pray for them. The things which are impossible or even unbelievable in the natural realm becomes a reality when you simply believe that it is going to happen.

We read in Habakkuk 2:4 Behold the proud, his soul is not upright in him; but the just shall live by his faith. It is simply true that the just shall live by his faith. Everything depends upon our faith. The larger the faith, the more miracles, signs and wonders happen in your life. There is no limit for our faith. Hold on to the promises God has given us in His Word and we can see supernatural miracles happening in our lives. People will be wonderstruck by the blessings of the Lord in our lives.

Hebrews 11:6 tells us “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”

Believe Jesus Christ can do wonders in your life if you believe and diligently seek Him. Nothing is impossible for the Lord.

Be blessed!

Showers of Blessing

“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” Matthew 5:8

God desires His children to have a pure heart. As the Word says blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God. Our thoughts and our deeds should be in line with God. Psalm 51:6 tells us “Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts…” When we accept Jesus Christ as our personal Savior we put off the old man with his deeds and put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created us. The Lord says, “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you, I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh” Ezekiel 36:26.

God expects every believer to have a pure and a circumcised heart. The circumcision should happen within us. God hates “a heart that devises wicked plans” Proverbs 6:18. But He is good to those who have a clean heart. We read in Psalm 73:1, “Truly God is good to Israel, to such as are pure in heart.”

Proverbs 11:20 tells us “Those who are of a perverse heart are an abomination to the Lord, but the blameless in their ways are His delight.” As Christians we ought to conduct ourselves like born again Christians whose hearts are set on the things of God.

As Christians, let us be pure in heart and have a pure conscience in our day to day dealing with others. For the Word says, “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things” Matthew 12:35.

Be Blessed!

Showers of Blessing

“Give, and it shall be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” Luke 6:38

Abraham started tithing when God never told him about it. Genesis 14:20 says “…And he gave him a tithe of all.” Jesus taught His disciples about tithing and it is still applicable for all believers. We need to tithe of all the income we receive. I have heard believers ask “Do we have to tithe for this too?” Believers do not forget God is watching us all the time. We can fool people but not God. So be extra cautious when it comes to tithing. If we need a super natural financial blessing in our lives we need to tithe. In Genesis 8:22 we read While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest… shall not cease.”

“And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord’s. It is holy to the Lord” Leviticus 27:30.

Malachi 3:8-10 says, “Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, ‘In what way have we robbed You? In tithes and offerings. You are cursed with a curse, for you have robbed Me, Even this whole nation. Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this,” says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it.”

Why should we inherit a curse for not tithing?

From my experience, if we are not faithful in our tithes we will end up in serious financial trouble. How can you receive something for which you have not been faithful? I have seen people very faithful in tithing for small amounts but when it comes to thousands or millions they do not follow the same measure. That too is a problem. Be faithful in your tithing. We read in 2 Corinthians 9:6 “But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.

Beloved, how can we expect a blessing in our lives when we have eaten up the seed which we were to sow?

Be Blessed!

Showers of Blessing

“Then he turned his face toward the wall, and prayed to the Lord…” 2 Kings 20:2

These are the words of King Hezekiah in response to the words of the Lord which were made known to him through Prophet Isaiah. The Lord heard Hezekiah’s prayer and healed him from the sickness and as a bonus added fifteen years to his life 2 Kings 20:6. The prayer and the tears of Hezekiah moved God’s decision. What a compassionate God we have!

We read in Psalm 118:17, “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord…” Whenever I had the opportunity to pray for people who were in the last moments of their life, I have prayed quoting this verse from the Holy Bible and much to my amazement they have all recovered from their dire circumstances back to life and are still alive. The confession of this verse healed them from their sickness as we read in Proverbs 18:21 “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.”

Apostle Paul was “stoned by the people and was dragged out of the city, supposing him to be dead” Acts 14:19. In verse 20 we read that “he rose up and went into the city.” Paul refused to die because he knew God had chosen him and had great plans and it had to be fulfilled by him Acts 9:15. When God has chosen you to be His ambassador to fulfill His plans, He has invested so much in you and you can’t fail Him. He knows you can do it and you alone can do it. Even if the whole world is against you be strong, “because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world” 1 John 4:4.

I have heard men of God advice believers to keep their affairs in order (bank matters, will etc.) and to get ready to die quoting the words of Prophet Isaiah to King Hezekiah. I am surprised at these teachings because it can often mislead people. In Ezekiel 18:32 we read “For I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies,” says the Lord GOD. “Therefore turn and live!”

Therefore, let us run the race which God has kept for us faithfully throwing away every negative word or circumstance which discourages us. Jeremiah 1:19 tells us “For I am with you,” says the Lord, “to deliver you.” I know He is there for you and me. Hallelujah!

Be Blessed!

Showers of Blessing

“So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you.” Joel 2:25

Our God is a God of restoration. Whatever has been robbed of you by the devil will be restored by the Lord. The good days of your youth, your wealth, your family life and your health which was stolen by the devil will be restored by the Lord. We know what happened to Job. The devil destroyed whatever he had but at the end God restored twice of everything he lost. Job 42:10 says, “And the Lord restored Job’s losses when he prayed for his friends. Indeed the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.” The same is applicable for you and me. Hold on to your faith and He will fulfil all His promises. Numbers 23:19 tells us, “God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do?

Be Blessed!

Showers of Blessing

The Lord was with Joseph, and he was a successful man; Genesis 39:2

Jacob’s excessive love for Joseph and the tunic of many colors given to him by his father made his brothers hate him. His two dreams were much more than they could bear. Joseph believed the dreams as visions given to him by the Lord and waited for it to come. When he reached the house of Potiphar, the Egyptian realised that the Lord was with Joseph because everything he did prospered in his hand (Genesis 39:3). Potiphar and his field were blessed because of Joseph. The anointing on Joseph made the difference.

When Joseph was transferred to the prison, the keeper of the prison also had a supernatural favor on him (Genesis 39:21). Because of the presence of the Lord with Joseph, he was entrusted with the entire prisoners (Genesis 39:22). God knows His children and He makes roads in the wilderness for those whose hearts are loyal to Him. “He works for His children and no one can reverse it” (Isaiah 43:13).

Pharaoh realized that Joseph had the wisdom and the Spirit of God in him when he interpreted his dreams which were impossible for the wise men of Egypt. Joseph gave glory to God for the interpretation of the dreams. He was promoted to the position of Governor of Egypt because the Lord was with him and he did nothing to displease Him.

Beloved, hold on to the visions and prophecies the Lord has given you. It does not matter where you are, HE WHO CALLED YOU IS FAITHFUL AND HE WILL FULFILL THE PROMISES CONCERNING YOU no matter what the circumstances are. Although they tarry, it will take place.

Be Blessed!

Showers of Blessing

“For exaltation comes neither from the east nor from the west nor from the south.

But God is the judge: He puts down one, and exalts another.” Psalm 75:6-7

God exalts people who are humble and whose hearts are devoted to Him. Joshua, Moses’ assistant (Exodus 24:13) was very dedicated to the Lord and did not depart from the tabernacle Exodus 33:11. We read in Psalm 53:2 “God looks down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there are any who understand, who seek God.” Whenever Moses went up the mountain to meet God, Joshua was at the bottom of the mountain praying for Moses. He brought a good report about Canaan and was chosen by God to enter Canaan because he “wholly followed the Lord” Numbers 32:12.

Joshua succeeded Moses as the next leader to take His people “to divide the land as an inheritance” which He swore to their fathers to give them (Numbers 34:17). The Lord told Moses to encourage and strengthen and to inaugurate Joshua and it says he was a man “full of the spirit of wisdom” Deuteronomy 34:9.

After the death of Moses, God spoke to Joshua (Joshua 1:2-9) and it was a great promise He gave in verse 5 “No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you.” And in verse 8 He gives him a command “not to depart from the Book of the Law but to meditate in it day and night, and to observe to do according to all that is written in it to make his way prosperous and to have good success.” God exalted Joshua in the sight of all Israel and they feared him, as they feared Moses, all the days of his life (Joshua 4:14). He served God in sincerity and in truth which made him say “But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” (Joshua 24:15)

During these days, we often come across several Christians and ministries who struggle to exalt and project themselves in their own ways which is not in line with God. The Word says, “Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time.” 1 Peter 5:6

Showers of Blessing

‘…and in the wilderness where you saw how the Lord your God carried you, as a man carries his son, in all the way that you went until you came to this place.’ Deuteronomy 1:31

Although these are the words of Moses to the Israelites it is appropriate for us in all aspects. The Lord literally “brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps Psalm 40:2. And I would proudly say this rock is my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He has fed us with the finest wheat all these years Psalm 147:14 and we lacked nothing as we see in His word “but those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing” Psalm 34:10. He has carried us as a man carries his son all these years and He is still doing it. Isaiah 46:4 says, “Even to your old age, I am He, and even to gray hairs I will carry you! I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry and will deliver you.”

“He also taught us, and said to us: “Let your heart retain My words; Keep My commands and live. Get wisdom! Get understanding! Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth” Proverbs 4:4-5. As the Lord told us it has been our joy to meditate in His word at all times. “And He has put His words in our mouth; and He has covered us with the shadow of His hand” Isaiah 51:16. Whenever we prayed to Him during a crucial time He answered us instantly as it says in His word, “It shall come to pass that before they call, I will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear” Isaiah 65:24. He has been such a loving God to us all these years. He has been a sun and shield to us and has not withheld any good thing from us. As His word says, “For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord will give grace and glory; no good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly” Psalm 84:11

He has kept on telling us that “we are precious in His sight” Isaiah 43:4 and “not to fear, for He is with us” all the time Isaiah 43:5. How can we ever stop praising our God for all the good things He has done for us!

“My God will never forget me because He has inscribed me on the palms of His hands” Isaiah 49:16.

This is our testimony and I pray earnestly that the Lord Bless all those who come across these words on this blog. Beloved, let your life be a blessing for others.

Be Blessed!

Showers of Blessing

“Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.” Psalm 19:14

God created us to be a blessing to the entire people who live on the face of the earth. Words of blessing must come out of our mouth which is going to be a blessing and a comfort for the people in sorrow. Also, our mouths should be filled with praises for the Lord. 2 Chronicles 20:19 tells us,” then the Levites of the children of the Kohathites and of the children of the Korahites stood up to praise the Lord God of Israel with voices loud and high. In 2 Chronicles 20:22 it says,” Now when they began to sing and praise, the Lord set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir who had come against Judah; and they were defeated. When we start praising the Lord, the enemy’s fortress will be destroyed and they will flee before us in seven ways. Now we have eight doors open before us.

Proverbs 4:24 says, “Put away from you a deceitful mouth, and put perverse lips far from you.” As Christians (believers) we need to be very careful with our words. We are the temple of God and the Spirit of God dwells in us. So we need to be holy. Matthew 5:37 says, “And let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ For whatever is more than these is from the evil one.” Moreover, death and life are in the power of the tongue Proverbs 18:21. So let praises and blessing come out of our mouth all the time.

God wants our thoughts and our meditations in line with God’s Word so that He can bless us. The Lord hates a lying tongue, a heart that devises wicked plans and a false witness who speaks lies. Proverbs 6:16

Joshua 1:8 tells us to meditate on the Word of God day and night and do what the Word says to make our way prosperous and to have good success. Moreover, as we read in Psalm 1:3 that those who delight in the law of the Lord shall be blessed like a tree planted by the waters whose leaves will not wither and whatever they do shall prosper. What a wonderful promise!

Be Blessed!

Showers of Blessing

“So ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound-think of it-for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath.” Luke 13:16

These are the words of Jesus to the ruler of the synagogue who spoke indignantly when Jesus healed the woman who was bent over for eighteen years. She was a devout lady who attended the synagogue regularly and was ignorant of what has been happening around her because she could not raise herself up. I am sure she did not know that Jesus was at the synagogue nor did she recognize that it was Jesus calling her to be healed.

As usual, Jesus was moved with compassion when he saw the affliction of the woman. He touched her and in an instant she was healed of her infirmity. The people at the synagogue must have marveled at the miracle done by Jesus. Oh! What a joy it would have been for the woman and the people around her. In Jesus’ own words we find that He did not bind her but Satan bound her for eighteen years. Please do not be deceived, it is Satan who brings bondages and diseases in our lives and unfortunately all the blame goes to Jesus the supernatural healer. Isn’t that contradictory? In James 3:11 it says, “Does a spring send forth fresh water and bitter from the same opening?”

The ruler responded to the miracle with indignation when all of a sudden the attention was on Jesus healing on a Sabbath. The ruler was not at all bothered about healing the woman. He was only concerned about following traditions. Jesus replies that this woman being a daughter of Abraham is more precious to the Kingdom of God and is eligible for all the blessings which God promised Abraham in Genesis 12:2-3.

Beloved, Jesus has already paid the price for your healing as we read in Isaiah 53:5 “And by His stripes we are healed.”

Be Blessed!

Showers of Blessing

So Samuel grew, and the Lord was with him and let none of his words fall to the ground. 1Samuel 3:19

What a magnificent man of God who was totally dedicated to the Lord’s ministry and had his ears tuned to the Lord at all times. God desires such people during these days that act according to His perfect will. The Lord blessed Hannah with Samuel because of her prayers in anguish. Hannah was blessed with five more children when she dedicated Samuel to the Lord.

Prophet Samuel listened and obeyed the Lord in every instant. His first prophecy came against Eli, the man of God who was to be replaced due to his corrupt son’s irreverence and wickedness towards God. Eli used to hear from the Lord in earlier days as he directs Samuel to respond to the Lord as in 1Samuel 3:8-9.

Eli received two prophecies from the Lord for rectification and repentance. The first prophecy was almost a strict word of warning against the dishonor and scorn made by Eli and his sons toward the Lord. It has always amazed me the way Eli responded to the prophecy from Prophet Samuel by saying, “It is the Lord. Let Him do what seems good to Him.” (1Samuel 3:18) Repentance was far from him which made this cold statement.

Sad to say, over the years his eyes became dim and his ears were faint to hear from the Lord as we read in 1Samuel 3:1 that there was no revelation during the days of Eli. It was at this point God wanted to replace Eli for Samuel. In 1Samuel 2:35 we read “Then I will raise up for Myself a faithful priest who shall do according to what is in My heart and in My mind. I will build him a sure house, and he shall walk before My anointed forever.”

These are the days when God is going to replace many Eli(s) who have lost their vision and have turned deaf to God with men and women of God who are willing to do exactly what is in His heart. So let us keep the fire of the Holy Spirit burning within us and do His will and be a blessing to the world.

Be Blessed!

Showers of Blessing

“but to none of them was Elijah sent except to Zarephath, in the region of Sidon, to a woman who was a widow.” Luke 4:26

Jesus mentioned about this widow of Zarephath at the synagogue. This widow who fed Prophet Elijah for almost two years is preached world wide by a minute act of hospitality shown to Prophet Elijah. She never knew anything about the person who asked her for water and later on for a cake. The request for water itself was too much on her as we read that the brook Cherith dried up in due course of time.

The widow may well have refused Prophet Elijah but God had touched the widow’s heart where she could not but offer the man of God what he requested for. She must have considered giving a try to the words of Prophet Elijah in 1Kings 17:14 “For thus says the Lord God of Israel: ‘The bin of flour shall not be used up, nor shall the jar of oil run dry, until the day the Lord sends rain on the earth.’” By feeding His Prophet with the last portion of her food, God blessed the flour and the oil whereby she never had to worry about food for almost two years but ended up being a blessing for her household.

In verse 15 we see that the widow and Prophet Elijah and her household ate until the end of the famine. Being a widow, her relatives must have turned their backs on her. It must have been a terrible situation where she had to find food to keep her son and herself alive during the famine. See in your mind's eye a situation where you are going to protect your relatives who never wanted to extend a helping hand or rather did not wish to refer you as part of their family.

Beloved, God has a blueprint for you even if there is no one to help you or if the whole world is under recession. You will be surrounded by discouraging remarks to let you down but be strong He has greater plans for you which is hidden from them. Believer, it is abundance for you in the middle of recession and believe me recession is for unbelievers. As I have mentioned before, God’s children will live in abundance. Seeing your prosperity in negative circumstances is going to be an eye opener for non believers. Keep confessing your faith and live a successful life.

Be Blessed!

Showers of Blessing

Genesis 17:1 “I am the almighty God, walk before Me and be blameless.”

God wanted Abraham to walk before Him and be blameless. We ought to "be an example to believers (and unbelievers) in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith and in purity." 1 Timothy 4:12. “Let us keep ourselves pure” 1 Timothy 5:22 “so that the name of God and His doctrines may not be blasphemed” 1Timothy 6.

We see great men of God in deep mess when they wander away from the vision which the Lord gave them at the commencement of their ministry. I have had several experiences while working with quite a few ministries. They reach a point where they are beyond correction. God starts blessing the ministry as you move forward in the perfect will of God. Men of God ought to be blameless as people look on to them as God’s chosen ones.

Abraham set an example in Genesis 14:21 when he replied the King of Sodom who requested to take the goods from the war “I have raised my hand to the Lord, God Most High, the Possessor of heaven and earth, that I will take nothing, from a thread to a sandal strap, and that I will not take anything that is yours, lest you should say, ‘I have made Abram rich.” I am sure Abraham must have remembered that the Lord Himself was his great reward.

Prophet Elisha refused to take any gift from Naaman the Syrian but said, “As the Lord lives, before whom I stand, I will receive nothing.” 2 Kings 5:15-16

“Therefore, let us look forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless.” 2 Peter 3:14

Showers of Blessing

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8-9.

God spoke to Abraham to get out of his country and from his family and from his father’s house to a land that God will show him. Abraham obeyed God every time God spoke to him and we see how he prospered. God wanted to bless Abraham so He wanted him to come out of his present condition. God has a master plan for each one of us just as he had for Abraham. Obey His plans, although at times it might sound strange but His ways are perfect. You will be blessed and your blessings will overflow when you go according to His plans. People who reside in the land to which you are taken will have supernatural favor on you. They will come out of the way to help you. He has set “ravens” to help you all the time.

Joseph was sold to the Ishmaelites and was taken to Egypt because his brothers hated him for the dream. As we read in Genesis 39:2 “The Lord was with Joseph, and he was a successful man” and in verse 3 it says “And his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord made all he did to prosper in his hand.”

Let us see what Joseph had to say when he met his brothers in Egypt in Genesis 45:5. “But now, do not therefore be grieved or angry with yourselves because you sold me here; for God sent me before you to preserve life. Genesis 45:8 “So now it was not you who sent me here, but God, and He has made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.”

So when the Lord takes you to a strange land believe that He has done everything for you as He did for Abraham and Joseph for He has better plans for you.

Previously, we were in a land where we were comfortably settled as per worldly standards but God wanted us to move into a new place. We obeyed God blindly and took a step of faith without any hesitation. Whenever we had to move we did it joyfully relying on His Word and were promoted to greater heights. Every change was for a purpose. This is our experience.

Walk in faith and Be Blessed!

Showers of Blessing

Mark 5 deals with Jesus Christ healing three different people. Verses 1-20 deals with the healing of a man who was tormented by an unclean spirit. He was not able to be bound in shackles and chains. As soon as Jesus came out of the boat He healed him. We see how the unclean spirit talked to Jesus and left the man healed.

Verse 25 onwards we read about a woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years. News reached the woman that Jesus was in town and she realised that this was her last resort to get healed as she had spent all that she had for nothing.

One touch of faith on Jesus' clothes and she was completely healed. Is there anyone who needs a healing today? The supernatural doctor is just beside you. All you need to do is to touch Him in faith. See how Jesus felt power go out of Him by the woman’s touch and He says “Your faith has made you well.” Believers, I have a word for you; supernatural days of healing are coming back very soon as we see in the book of Acts.

Jairus was in urgent need of healing for his dying twelve year old daughter. His daughter died, but Jesus said to Jairus, “Do not be afraid; only believe.” Jesus took the inner circle of disciples who had the positive faith with Him and brought the dead girl back to life.

All sicknesses and problems are brought into people’s life by the devil. As we read in John 10:10 “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

Many people including believers believe that sicknesses and problems come into their lives from God. This verse clearly says that it is the devil himself who comes into lives to steal and destroy their health, finances and family life. On the contrary, God wants us to have abundant life on the earth along with supernatural health, finances and a good family.

Be blessed!

Showers of Blessing

We read in the Holy Bible about the Ark of the Covenant of the Lord. Wherever the Ark came there was blessing for God’s people and chaos for the enemy. In 1 Samuel 4:5 we see that the Ark of the Lord came into the camp and all Israel shouted so loudly that the earth shook.

The Philistines were afraid and said “God has come into the camp.” They knew that the God of Israel had performed great miracles, signs and wonders while bringing out the Israelites from Egypt and the same God has come into the camp. So the Philistines knew that God himself had come down to help the Israelites.

In 1 Samuel 5 we read what happened to Dagon, the Philistine God. First, it fell on its face to the earth before the ark of the Lord. On the second day Dagon fell on its face to the ground before the ark of the Lord and the head and both the palms of hands were broken off on the threshold. So they returned the Ark of the Lord to Israel.

This same Ark of the Lord was hidden in the house of Obed-Edom, a Levite and a bodyguard of David (2 Samuel 6:11). See how the Ark of the Lord brought fame and blessing to Obed-Edom and all his family, he being an ordinary bodyguard. I believe God must have elevated this man which in turn was informed to King David. David loved the Lord and he made arrangements that the Ark be brought to the City of David. In 2 Samuel 6:14 David danced before the Lord with all his might imagining the blessings which are going to come upon him. His happiness is mentioned in the verses that follow.

Beloved, know that when you were baptized into Christ, you have put on Christ Galatians 3:27. So when you are wearing Christ all Dagon’s will fall before you and flee from you. Do not be surprised when the world acts against you and deprive you of your privileges. But I would say, rejoice for you are the chosen vessel of the Living God. Know your authority. Born again believer, you are the Ark of the Living God because you are wearing Jesus Christ. Believe! no enemy can come near you.

Be blessed!
